Privacy Policy
Last updated 15 September 2026
This policy explains how Haijahr Limited handles your personal data when you use our website or contact us. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data openly and lawfully, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
Haijahr Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16123645), at 61 Alexandra Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 1PL. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@haijahr.com.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and run our business.
- When you use a contact or enquiry form: your name, email address, company (if you give it), the nature of your enquiry, and the message you send.
- When you pitch through the Founders programme: your name, email address, and the details of your idea that you choose to share.
- When you register interest in a role: your name, email address, the role, an optional LinkedIn URL, an optional salary expectation, any CV you upload, and your message.
- Automatically: standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited) kept for security and to keep the site running, and the cookies described in our Cookie notice.
We do not run advertising or analytics tracking, and we do not build marketing profiles of you.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry or pitch, and to provide what you ask for. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps to enter into a contract where relevant.
- To consider your interest in a role. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in recruitment, and taking steps at your request before any employment contract.
- To keep the website secure and working, including spam and abuse prevention. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in protecting our site and users.
Spam protection (Google reCAPTCHA)
Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to tell humans from bots. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. This use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We rely on our legitimate interests in preventing spam and abuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, acting as our processors under contract, such as our email, hosting and spam-protection providers (including Google, for reCAPTCHA). We may disclose data if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and pitch correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with it and for a reasonable period afterwards, then delete it. We keep recruitment details for the duration of a recruitment process and a short period after, unless you ask us to keep them on file for future roles. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.
Where your data is held
We aim to keep personal data within the UK or European Economic Area. Where a provider (such as Google) processes data outside these regions, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to data portability where it applies. To exercise any of these, email hello@haijahr.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we hold Cyber Essentials certification. No transmission over the internet is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
